(When to consult)
Reasons for consulting
We work with people who come to us with anxiety, sadness or low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, stress and personal or work changes.
The first appointment helps us understand the context and decide whether psychotherapy or another kind of support may be appropriate.
(The process)
A process adapted to your situation
Our team brings together different psychotherapy backgrounds.
Once we understand why you are consulting, we discuss goals, frequency and the way of working. We review progress during the process and consider other support if needed.
Not every consultation requires a neuropsychological assessment, and not every process lasts the same time. The proposal is explained before the work begins.

When the difficulty is with attention or memory
If you notice changes in memory, problems with organisation or attention difficulties that affect your daily life, you can ask about a neuropsychological assessment.
Roser Fernández Olaria works in this area with adults. The assessment brings together different sources of information and, when appropriate, is coordinated with other professionals.

Frequently asked questions
Can I come even if I cannot explain clearly what is happening to me?
Yes. The first appointment helps to organise what you want to discuss and consider what you need.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the goals, the difficulties and how things develop. We can review with you the proposed frequency and continuity.
Can you coordinate with psychiatry?
When relevant, we can coordinate with psychiatry, medicine or other professionals involved. We agree with you what information needs to be shared and how, respecting confidentiality.
What happens in the first appointment?
You tell us what brings you and the context. The first assessment helps us understand the situation and decide whether psychotherapy or another kind of support is suitable; we then talk about goals, frequency and how we will work.
What approach do you use?
The team brings together different psychotherapy trainings. The proposal is tailored to your situation and explained before starting; each professional’s training is listed on their profile.
Can I have therapy in English or Catalan?
Yes. Members of the team work in English, Spanish and Catalan. When you get in touch we confirm availability and the right language for you.
Can I have therapy online?
We see people in person in Barcelona, and online when the reason for consulting and the conditions of the work allow it. We agree this with you after the first assessment.
Can I ask for a morning appointment?
Yes. Let us know you prefer the morning when you get in touch, and we will confirm the options available.
What if I notice problems with memory or attention?
If changes in memory, organisation or attention affect your daily life, you can ask about a neuropsychological assessment. Not every consultation needs one; we can advise on whether it is advisable.
